Can I start physical therapy without a referral?

Yes! In Washington, D.C. and the surrounding region, you can see a licensed physical therapist directly without needing a referral from your doctor.

You can schedule by calling us directly or filling out our contact form. We offer flexible hours including early mornings and evenings to fit your schedule.

At your first visit, we’ll do a full assessment of your movement, posture, and symptoms. From there, we’ll create a personalized plan and begin hands-on treatment tailored to your goals.

We proudly accept Medicare Part B, otherwise we’re a private pay practice, but we provide detailed invoices (superbills) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We also accept HSA and FSA cards.

Initial evaluations usually last about an hour, and follow-ups are typically 45–60 minutes. Your treatment plan, including frequency of visits, will be tailored to your needs and goals.
